Re: REAR MASTER CYLINDER PISTON FROZEN

Grease gun usually works and you might try pushing the cups in using a "C" clamp..just a little to break them free then try again pushing them out..with air/grease..back on the bike with the brake lever..

Re: Help with my 80 goldwing

Clutch might not be engaging properly either too tight on the cable shoudl have at least a 1/4" slack at the lever as said above or worn plates. Replacing teh clutch requires removing the engine to get to it..some have done w/o pulling the engine on gl1000's but not sure about 1100's. Several how's ...

Re: Normal stator output GL1100

Well I am electrically challenged most of the time..but to answer your original question.. Take the bike for a short ride to charge the battery back up after you started it..now at idle (750-950 rpm's) it should show about 12.5V's at the battery..now rev up the engine to 3,000 rpm's the V's should j...

Re: Air ride

Release all air..then refill with bike upright..hand on the seat..note air pressure when seat starts to move up..tha's your bottom pressure..the systems don't always read the same bike to bike..now you can adjust to your comfort level.I'd start at 50 lbs. and adjust from there.

Re: How To Adjust Carb Float

good review of how to above but JUST to change the float height you bend/straighten..adjust teh brass tang at the center of the float's pivot point..measuring should be done with the carbs standing on end so the tang lightly rests on the float needle w/o depressing it.. PS pics not mine "stolen from...

Re: Anti freeze leak !

Not water pump that's a weep hole up front on the 2/4 side. But you may have a leak from the water tubes on top of the engine that are leaking down into the weep holes in the head..and dripping out the bottom of the head. especially if the bike is on the center stand and level??? Or yes could be a h...

Things to look for when buying a used GL1800

I currently own a 1500 and have had all the Gl's 75-83 and 95-98. Do all my own work.

So on the 1800's specifically 2007, 115,000 miles.. anything to watch for..check.. I haven't a clue.
