Re: NO START solenoid clicks but no turnover. whats wrong?
Take a voltage measurement at the starter post. If you have 12 or near that then starter is the problem. You can also short across the two large terminals of the solenoid to test. You say you have a new starter. There are a few starters on ebay that fail the first time a load is placed on them. The ...

Re: Dyna DS1-3 Help!
Don't waste your time and money. The Dyna is easier to set the timing on than points. Static timing has worked just fine for hundreds if not thousands of 1000s with the Dyna. I think the person who told you that doesn't have a clue. Timing that's "in the ball park" wouldn't prevent one side from fir...

A bad module is not out of the question. Happens often. Why don't you contact Dyna and see if they can help?

My father used to use "coal oil"
on wounds. Used it on himself, us kids and any animals that had open wounds. When we would "cut" the pigs he would fill the cavity with it.

What type of problem are you experiencing? When the cable starts to fail the inside sheath wears and sometime lubing won't help. Possibly the cable needs replacing.

Re: New to this Forum
Welcome to the forum. If you have $10 grand to spend I say go with the 1800. You should be able to get a "relatively" new one for that. 2005/2008. The 1500 is a great bike but she is getting gray and long in the tooth. Good luck!

Dunlop E3s are notorious for howling when leaning, due to cupping. Is that what you have?

Re: tires gl 1500
I have a rear E4 with around 5k miles. I really like it a lot. Nothing negative to report. Still not showing wear and best of all no cupping and no noise which was what I hated about the E3s. I just put one on the front so nothing really to report yet except that it is smooth and "silent".

Re: kick starter
Kick starters are dangerous anyway. The only time I have ever tried to start my 76 with the kick starter was once when the battery died. It started on the very first attempt. I was so startled that I jumped back, tripped over the front wheel of my 1500 and landed on my butt. Not sure what I was expe...
