Re: Windshields

My only fear was I didn't want the vent to interfere with my line of sight. Don't know if the vent is is the same spot as the original. That's why I wanted to sit on a bike or go to a f4 dealer just to see.

Re: Windshields

I have a 08 and I'm 5'8''. Been reading on this issue for a couple of years. So for better passenger comfort and for my self. I'm gonna get a f4 +4, Still haven't decided on vent or no vent. Was gonna ride to nearest dealer in October to see and make comparison, but he didn't have any in stock.

Like my stones. Has anyone heard their stones sing on curves after about 6000 miles. Still have good tread but seems like I only hear it on curves.

Re: GPS to Goldwing input device

Does the input device only sends out in intercom or does it send it through the speakers also. Because I ride with speakers 99% of the time. Thanks

Maybe a 2009 or 10. Just because of the heated comfort that was not a standard item on the years before.

Re: Gas Mileage

37 to 42 depending on the flick of the wrist and Highway w/ or with out city riding. But on the highway at 70mph You should get around 40. Make sure you run a bottle of Techron through it.

Re: Auto oil filter and my warranty

I just bought the purolator 14612. And its the same size as the original. Looked at the comparisons to a original and the original fins were not as straight as the 14612 after use.

Have talked to at least 5 owners that had between 25 and 30,000 miles on their wing and was told that the air filter was still good for at least another 10,000 miles.

Re: 2004 GL 1800, considering making this purchase.

Rode my first Harley( Road King) at a Harley demo ride this past August. I was not impressed after riding my wing for the last 3 years and my VTX 1800 Retro for 4 years prior to that. Burnt my right boot on the pipes and the heat coming off of the engine and pipes was Hot. Glad I didn't buy one in 2...

Re: Sore back when I sit back in the seat!

What about a set of foot pegs that go in the front of the normal foot pegs and attach to the crash bars. That might help, But you have to consider this, Are you going to always want to have your legs stretched out and not in a normal state of riding. Your gonna want to change up positions. I think ...

Changed my battery to the remote, Don't know if the battery was bad or not. Still trying to program the remote. Have tried 4 or 5 times. Might have to find a expert that knows how to, When it gets warm.

Re: Tire wear and suggestions.

I have a 08 and FINALLY changed mine at 14,000 miles. Should have changed them at start of season, But was still trying to decide which ones I wanted. The originals had wore down to slick on half of rear tire. But I was really trying to make a decision. Finally broke down and got the Bridgestones. G...

I only pour a little less than half to store away for winter. Then when the next season rolls around I run that tank out, Then I pour a bottle of Techron in. Never had a problem.
