Checking the oil with these bikes on the main stand is a pain for sure , I carry a small flashlight in my tool tray Remember it has a wet clutch so oil changes should be with motorcycle oil or equivalent- when i drag a new to me Goldwing home the first...

Hey Pedro i have been searching for the perfect Valkyrie for a few years , i particularly like the 1500 series. hey the bike must be on the centre stand to check the oil , the capacity is as stated earlier, and as said the sight glass on the right while on the bike ( this old guy must get down on the knees with a flashlight ) Gas mileage 30 plus , i got 33 MPG (US ) on my 76 this spring and was very satisfied...

we must believe the electrical is complete clean tank & filter losing power after a 4-5 miles--check the gas cap do you hear a rush of air when you undo the cap--when you are riding and lose power loosen the cap off and try that Pilot screws control idling and mixture popping in the exhaust i believ...

Hey you have been busy , when you sync the carbs did anyone touch the pilot screws , on a 76 they are required to be two full turns out ( feather them all the way in , do not put pressure on them ,when you feel them lightly seat then back them out two full turns ) Have you have tracked down a manual...

yes all the 1000's will fit , remember the carbs from a 78 & 79 are recommended for motors of those years , i believe they changed the cams & jets etc for pollution requirements
The 75,76,77 carbs are interchangeable with motors from those years in a pinch , assuming your carbs are good
