Re: The loneliest road in America???

My impression of it was and is positive. It is an area of the country that deserves to be experienced if you are open minded and don't need endless twisties. There is a 'pattern' to the roadway. Several miles of, yes, flat straight road, then a twisty ride up, over and down a low mountain ridge. Thi...

Re: engine died, lost 12 volts to fuel pumo

I had an almost identical problem recently with my 94A. I started it up (after it had sat for a few weeks) and it ran until it apparently ran out of gas at the carb. I won't go into the painful details of my 'trouble shooting', but it turned out to be the BATTERY. Yes, the voltage to the pump was lo...

Congrats on finding your spark problem.

A Pulse Autocycle... you don't hear about them very often. My buddy has one that he is restoring. It still has the original Yamaha motor.

Re: Compatibility and Alternator Question

Thanks a lot. Very helpful. 👍

Can anyone shed any light on the mufflers? I tend to believe they are interchangeable.

Thanks again.

Compatibility and Alternator Question

Hi again. I am considering upgrading to a newer 1500 and have a couple questions: 1) Are the mufflers between the early and later models interchangeable, in case I buy a later model and may not be happy with the "sound" of the newer mufflers? 2) Is there a way to identify which alternator might be o...

Re: GL1000 brake pads and throttle cable, rear rack for cost of shipping

Are you willing to separate them? I already have a luggage rack but I am interested in the pads and cable. How much to ship to 85295?

Thanks. Ron in AZ

brian.peters:: I second the motion for D & D. They have worked on both my '76 and my '94. Straight shooters in my book. Reasonable labor rate. Google Maps says it's only 25 miles from downtown Peoria. Worth the trip.

A lot of newer cars & trucks need to have a front wheel and inner fender removed in order to change the oil filter.

Re: DIY car maintenance

My brother-in-law's headlight burned out, but couldn't figure out how to get the headlight assembly out of his 2012(?) Buick Lucerne. Took it to a private shop. $125 p & l. Stealer would have been even more.
