Use kilos instead of pounds, it sounds a lot less.

Re: Photo Tag ---Anyone want to play?

Well that's option one I won't be doing. The highest point in England is just 3209ft above sea level. My house is a dizzying 40ft above sea level.

Re: Taking the 'Wing on a ferry

It very much depends upon the ferry, the sea and the crossing. My local ferries go from Hull to Rotterdam (Holland) or Zeebrugge (Belgium) each about a 12 hour crossing and the ships now have special bike bays which are quite secure. The seas can sometimes be rough, especially in winter but the ship...

Re: Clock adjustment doesn't

I have the opposite problem. The adjustment knob works fine but the clock doesn't keep very good time, it loses, not too badly, a couple of minutes a week. I suspect the adjuster on the pendulum needs winding up.

Does it make a significant difference to the dipstick level if the machine is on its kickstand or on its centre stand?

Re: Video: How to get a Goldwing on and off the center stand

At that point if I just stand up on my right foot and lift slightly on the grab handle- it is almost effortless to put on the center stand. This worked for me too. But over the last summer/winter I have been ill with two frozen shoulders. They are much improved now but a long way from being back to...

Re: Motorcycle Transport in Canada

It's only 2000 miles or so, ride. Of course, there is the possiblility of being eaten by a bear, or dying from exposure. Getting lost and not being found for 20 years, by which time you have married a wolf and have developed terrible table manners. But hey-ho.

I saw the phrase, "trans issue" and I so wanted to see WingAdmin wearing a dress.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am.

Re: OIL TASTING

I suspect many of us are of an age whose parents lived and survived in a time before antibiotics, and they may well have seen the horrific consequences of sepsis. Given that many bugs are now showing resistance to antibiotics, we could well be moving back to a time when insignificant cuts and abrasi...

Re: OIL TASTING

Grease, in the form of petroleum jelly eg Vaseline, is very useful for stopping bleeding, you see it used widely in the boxing ring and on sports fields as a stop gap until sutures can be used. I wouldn't advocate using general grease - the sort used to pack bearings.

Re: Legs hurting

It really depends upon what is causing the pain. Perhaps you should visit your physician and get it checked out. Hopefully, it might just be a matter of targeted excercise over the next few weeks.

You are at least, in the right place to avoid cold air. But isn't old Jack Frost clinging on tenaciously to winter's tail coat this year.

Re: Spring!!

It is actually lovely here today, temp 50F, though it feels much warmer in the sun. The daffodils and crocuses are out, and so is my other motorbike. We have had heavy rain for a couple of weeks so the salt is all gone. I will give it another month though before I dust down the Goldwing.

Re: Spring!!

If it snowed like that here we would have the army out. Every school would be closed (even if it didn't actually snow where the school is) and all the alternative snowflakes would be saying that the cold weather is all to do with global warming - never did work that one out. It has been a long old w...

Re: 2018 Cleveland Motorcycle Show Report - Pictures! Video!

rarely does the tach get below 3200 RPM I take it you are getting your machine into overdrive as early as you can? I have seen a number of videos of riders out with their bikes and have counted the gears as they change up, it is clear some are very happy to cruise along at 50/60mph in 4th gear, and...
