Re: Need Rectifier & Wiring Harness

MOSFET transistors are capable of switching extremely high currents. So instead of shunting unused power to ground, the way our old regulators function, a MOSFET regulator can instead just limit the amount of current getting through, but when needed, it can let the full current through with very lit...

Scott, that picture is almost X rated! reminds me of the old Sears catalog where one of the models had something peeking out of his shorts. I know!! That's the same thing I thought when I first saw it... And the worst thing? They ran that picture...a HUGE version of it...on the front page of ...

Re: RIDING IN THE RAIN.

I have a set of Nelson Rigg raingear, that's the best I've found. You don't sweat to death and steam in your own juices, while keeping dry. I always wear a full face but have found when keeping it opened slightly, the rain comes in from behind! A minor irritation, though. Also, the water beads up o...

Re: When I'm King

Texting or talking on the phone while driving would result in an automatic mandatory one-year license suspension and a $10,000 fine. DUI would be mandatory lifetime suspension and a $100,000 fine. I'm tired of dodging swerving, careless, inattentive and drunk drivers on the roads. Riding is becoming...

I can't speak to their coverage around Lake Superior, but I use T-Mobile and am very happy with them, for one reason: they have global coverage, at excellent rates. I have unlimited phone, text and data in the US, and unlimited text and data everywhere else in the world, with very low cost phone cal...

Local Cleveland show

Just in case anyone is local to the Cleveland area, and wants to check out our show, this is the closing weekend for a musical I've been working on for the last few months. It's fun, family-friendly, and good entertainment: https://www.cleveland.com/north-olmsted/index.ssf/2018/05/dover_players_comm...

Re: GL1100 engine removal & missing bolts

Hi, The engine is completely out of the bike, so I will definitely take your list into account when putting it back in. What do you mean with "oil screen"? Where is that sitting? You definitely want to clean the oil screen while the engine is out of the bike, as it's a pain to get to when it's in t...

Re: 1994 Honda Pacific Coast

We've got one. It's a great bike! It should not be at all twitchy. I suspect that might be tires, could also be old suspension. The cam seals on them tend to harden and start leaking - your first indication will be oil leaking out the bottom, and if you follow it up you'll find it leaking from the c...

Re: Moto Solutions RainCoat windshield coating

I use the RainX on my cages. It works very nicely. The water just beads up and rolls off. I still run my wipers, but very seldom more than just the slowest intermittent setting. RainX works great on glass, but don't use it on acrylic/polycarbonate/plexiglass windshields! They make a special RainX j...

Re: RIDING IN THE RAIN.

I carry Olympia Horizon Rain Gear which is the best I've used. It is 100% waterproof, it breathes so you don't get hot, it has a hood that goes up over your head to prevent water going down your neck, and it folds up into integrated pouches that you can stuff into the saddlebag when it's not raining...

Knob off, dust seal off. I sprayed cleaner to it and turned back and forth.. now it works. Yup, this would have been my first suggestion. Electrical contact cleaner into the volume control, and work the control back and forth. https://www.amazon.com/CRC-5103-Quick-Electronic-Cleaner/dp/B000BXOGNI

Re: Fuel cap vented or not ??

The cap has a vent that will resist both vacuum and pressure - to a certain point. When running and fuel is used up, it will allow some air in, but there will be some vacuum - so when you open the cap to fill up after riding for a while, you'll hear air rushing in. If the fuel heats up and the air e...
