Re: '77 gl1000 Electrical Gremlins, Ideas Would Help

Wing Admin. I fully agree with You. And I do not understand why people use LED and a resistor to have the old flasherrelay working. Because when people put a resistor in, the system draw the same amount af Amp as with normal bulps. So if one change the bulp to LED to save power also changes the rela...

Re: I'm gonna do it..

Hi.

Good idea. Small fan. If you look into computers there are lots of small fan running on 12 volt. I have one installed to cool my cobine integrated rectifire en charging regulator. Fan from PC does not draw much current and can be controled by a reostate.

Good luck.

Hi 1grouch2u No problem. But ref your reply about "hydro-lock" and not to forget to shut off the fuel. I complete agree, but people here in Denmark say "never do that" That will dry out all the rubber parts ind caburator, they say. I allways close the fuel even with short stop. Just an advise. I have read a lot about advise to short the solenoid. This is a real good idea if you are troble shuting. But I have never seen any advise that the neutral switch has no affect if you are shorting the solenoide. Even the Killer switch no affect in this situation. This means that if y...

Hi. I agree with WingAdmin. To me it is the ground connection between the starter itself and the engine. If there is a short with the brushes or other insulation inside the starter the arc will be there and not between the starter and the engine. So first check the recistance between the starter cas...

I then figured out that because of the 10Amp draw and poor connection in combination there was a masiv drop i...
