Re: Escapade trailer issue

Do a web search of escapade trailer broken axle and you'll see it has happened before.

Your not posting complete information on what wing this is on, getting an answer will be difficult.
Posting a picture of the shock might help too.

Re: High speed running problem

Have you changed the fuel filter?
Checked the air filter (critters love to store stuff in them)
Have you tested the fuel pump output flow, or pulled it out of the tank to check for rust/crud in the tank? Fuel pumps have been a weak point on the older 1500s.

Re: New Goldwing owner

I bought a 99 Aspencade that had sat 8-12 years outside and brought it back to life. It was my healing time project. It only had 17,500 miles on it.

Re: New Goldwing owner

Welcome to the forum davemik While you have the Tupperware off, use some electrical contact cleaner in the safety switches, especially the reverse switch behind the handle. Flush the brake and clutch systems well. Is this a bike that sat unused for a while? I had a 99SE until it had 105,000 on it. P...

Re: O-ring kit

Goldwings have special sizes not in the kits. Very few fit on the 83 gl1100. Just decide that you will need to buy Honda parts.
Been there done that.

Western Honda has the best on line parts prices. Yup. Been there done that. I've checked many online and fleebay prices to Western.

Re: WHAT HAVE I DONE?

Did you swap positive onto negative on the trickle charger to the battery? That would fry the electronics of the ECM and the radio amp which would be the static you got.

Re: New 2018 Goldwing Survey

I said what I would like. Yes more gallons would be required than the 6.6 presently on the 1800s. 5.5 gallon is too small a tank on a touring bike even with their saying that with the better mileage you get the same miles that the present wing gets out of a tank of gas. I was giving my views and des...

Re: New 2018 Goldwing Survey

I do like some of the innovative ideas and designs that have been put in to this bike, some, much overdue. The smaller gas tank was a big fubar on their part as there are many of us that are long distance riders and would appreciate more miles per tank than what we are getting on our present 1800s a...
