Re: Harbor Freight Trailer Recall

This recall was issued last year. My trailer was registered with Harbor Freight and they sent me a card on it. Returned the card and they sent a complete light set. As I understand the problem was the licence plate lighting was not bright enough. Great thing for me, in Minnesota you can get lifetime...

Re: Rear Tire 200 60 16 Bridgestone Exedra Max

Thinking a 200 would be a bit wide for clearance.
I changed over to the 180/70R16 and love the way it handles. Also the speed/odometer is almost dead on.

Almost always a broken wire at the trunk hinge.

When I fixed mine I rerouted the wires to have more flex.

Re: 1800 will turn over but not start

The Wing is low compression for a motorcycle and turns over easy.
Electronics have a cutoff point.
Get the battery.

I use a Mityvac pump. All fluid contained and works great.
Agree, getting to it is the hardest part.

The foam covers work great. Way more comfortable and work good with heated grips.

Re: Motorcycle Hacks

As you may remember from biology class, insects skeletons/bodies are made up of chitin. As we ride our motorcycles, poor insects die from a violent sudden impact with your windshield and/or face shield, etc. The removal of this 'goo' has been the subject of debate for a long time on how to remove i...

Re: Backrest thoughts GL1800

I have and like the Utopia.

Comfortable and out of the way for wife. Also the pocket keeps her phone and other things handy (less background noise for me). :o

Just got a new jacket with a spine armor and it's like sitting in my recliner.

Re: removing front wheel from GL1800

Centering the axle before tightening the pinch bolts is critical.

When I got my Wing (from a dealer that "went over it good") I could always hear brake noise from the front and thought it was just normal drag sounds. After I changed tires and installed them myself, it is nice and quiet.
