Re: Clutchless shifting

The only time I have been shifting clutchless is from 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th. The shifting is actually a lot quieter. Thank you for your response and I will take your advice. I was just being lazy, but I sure wouldn't want to hurt my lil darlin!

Clutchless shifting

Does it hurt a bike to shift into a higher gear without using the clutch?

Headlight modulator

Installed a headlite and a brake modulator on my 83 goldwing a couple of months ago and I truly believe they make a difference. Started smelling burnt wiring a couple of days ago and then my hibeam went out While replacing the bulb I discovered my fried modulator. Put in a call to the company, asked...

Re: Adding a Bluetooth phone interface to my GL1100 intercom

I don't think anyone would complain about the cost. Let the customer pick his headset and send it to ya. Or just offer the one you would prefer to work with. Might be the next million dollar idea. Good luck.

Re: The Invisible Motorcycle

Well I finally got my bike put back together after my accident and I installed a headlight modulator and a brake light flasher($85 for both). Been riding for two weeks and have not been run over since. I can actually tell people see me now. Vehicles no longer make the little false starts that indica...

Fairing construction

Is it possible to separate the inner fairing from the outer fairing? Trying to install new radio and have found it to be very frustrating.

Re: What is wrong with these people?

Thanks for the link to Benny's accident. I have been really dumb far as equipment goes even having had a similar accident back in the seventies. Might be worth a new topic on your site, " Defensive Safety". I told you about my accident Labor Day (invisible motorcycle) and if I had gone down I would ...

Re: The Invisible Motorcycle

Would becoming outrageously visible help? I would vote yes but I wonder how outrageously visible one can become and remain legal? I would paint my bike hot pink and make it blink if I thought it would help. But short of that what else can you use? Are strobes, revolving yellow lights, neons,or led's...

The Invisible Motorcycle

Why are our motorcycles invisible to our fellow motorists? I am pretty new to biking after a 35 year hiatus. But the few bikers I have spoken to recently all have a horror story about being run over by another vehicle. Here is mine! This labor Day, in broad daylight, a driver pulled out in front of ...

Thanks
Off to the shop she goes. By the way, this site rocks. Thank you for your time and effort in producing this "Goldwing for Dummies". Your How-To articles are excellent. I completely rebuilt my brakes front and rear using your articles as my only source of info.

Thanks

Re: Clarion Type-1 diagnosis

Looks like I have a type II Clarion doing the same. My problem started after my battery went bad and I tried charging it with a bad cell. Should I try to repair or just find another unit? I guess price would determine which way to go. Also when it was working the sound wasn't very good. Low volume w...

Synthetic oils

I was told not to use synthetic oil in my engine because it has a wet clutch. Is this true?
