water leak

I have a crack in the housing that my and oil filter cover is attached to...not sure what it's called. And, of course, water leaks from it. I'm just wondering what this housing is called, and what's involved in replacing it. Thanks to anyone that can help me out.

Re: How Silly

Hey all, No Nose Pete minds...well, you know what that means...we must all re-evaluate our way of thinking. 90% of folks think it's a good idea that you must post something to win. That being said, since No Nose is in the minority, and in todays politically correct mentality, we must agree with him....

Re: How Silly

Nothing wrong with having to post something to be eligible to win. Kind of like having to be present to win a prize.

Re: '84 GL1200 gas gauge ?

It's a standard GL 1200. I thought it might be the voltage regulator, but my temp gauge works fine. 1 other thing, I can feel a tapping when I let the throttle off a little, at any speed. Someone suggested my universal joint might be going bad. Any "how to" articles on replacing that?

'84 GL1200 gas gauge ?

The gas gauge on my '84 GL1200 reads 1/4 tank less than what's in the tank. What might cause this?

Re: bleeding the brakes

I am trying to bleed both sides using the front brake lever...didn't know to do otherwise. I'll try the bleeding the other side with the foot pedal. Thank you so much.

bleeding the brakes

While bleeding the front brakes on my 1984 GL1200, I get fluid on one side, nothing but air on the other side. What's up with that?

Re: MMO

Just want to use it to clean out the carbs and such....I've never used it before, but hear it's great for older motors.
