Re: Superbrace, super cheap

Well if you put it that way! LOL! I have never purchased new Chinese parts for my wing Usually I just pull the part I need from my parts bike or order from dealership. Good to know that Saber is a place to stay away from!

Re: INSURANCE FOR 1983 GOLDWING

Like our learned friend says get an extra Speedo, Also if you come visit Alberta and purchase a mailbox from Canada post you have an address and can register out here. It's not 100% legit but hey neither are the insurance companies are they now? Point is if you hit something hard enough to cause a m...

Re: INSURANCE FOR 1983 GOLDWING

Some of you may want to consider putting Antique Tags on your old Wings, and then getting Antique Bike INsurance. I have JC Witney, and for my 83 Wing, it is only about $60/year.....but no medical insurance on it. You are supposed to have it garaged, and only drive limited mileage........but well w...

Re: Missing on #2 or #4 Cylinder 1983 GL1100

Are you getting spark on all your cables? Could it be your wires/boots are in need of replacement? Perhaps it may be your coils? You will need to diagnose your miss and trace it down to your Cylinder to trace it back. Is the miss continuous? Is the cylinder dead? you can test this using a laser ther...

Re: 1983 gl1100 smokes at start up.

Doing the heads on these Rides is stupid easy! Just remove the belt cover mark your position and pull it off. Seats and seals are easy to get and they are still supported through your Honda Dealership. There are thousands of these bikes around and parts are fairly easy to come by. I say grab the rid...

Re: Superbrace, super cheap

I can't help you as I got mine from a parts bike I have. If you find one get it, I can't see one failing Chinese knock off or not. It is just a chunk of alloy after all.

Re: clock

If your techie you can take it apart and re solder the contacts. In all probability the clock is shot and the easiest way to fix it is, buy a stick on digital clock for 5 bucks and live with it. Other than that buy a used one that works and replace it.

Re: Superbrace, super cheap

I have a super brace on my 83 1100 and it's turned my rather boxy handling bike into a street racer! Seriously I have these s corners that I hit at 90 kms prior to install and it was sketchy Now with the brace I hit them at 120km without a wobble or hitch It has honestly add way WOW! factor to my ol...

Feel free to ask questions if you get stuck. You will need a socket set a Sharpie Magic marker (To mark the position of your belt fly wheel or valves position, Last but not least a torque wrench. (You may need some gasket material for carbs (I also used rubber gasket cement) and a new o ring for you...

Will buy the whole tub if you don't want to split it up. For an 83 Aspencade prefer it with the chrome tie down bars on it. Mine lost on the highway
