remapping

I've been having issues with my bike getting hot and someone told me that it might need to be remapped. That it was a recall on Honda. Any help on this and how this can affect the temp. Thanks.

2004 1800 overheating

My temp gets hot when going about 15mpr. I checked the coolant stick and has plenty of coolant. Both of my fans are working. What else can I check? Don't see coolant on the ground even though I smell coolant when I start it up.
