Hello, Still working on my 82 Goldwing Aspencade the question that I have is when I picked up the bike the motor was comlpetly frozen now I have it to where it goes 3/4 cycle by turning it over with a breaker bar/socket however it will go no farther I have tried multiple lubricants except for Kroil ...

Thanks for the advice and I will keep working on it I will keep the updates on the project going the bike deserves to be back on the road again she has less the 6m miles on her she bearly has lived. Any adivce is appreciated

Thanks for all the info, I just tried using a breaker bar on it and it has become semi loose it will not however do a complete rotation it gets hung up again about 3/4 of the way through? I have been using diesel fuel up until now however I will see if I can locate the Kroil and try this as well and...

I tried that also no luck I did not want to apply to much pressure being it does not appear to be a very heavy duty bolt.

Yup tried everything simple already from putting penetrating lube / diesel fuel into the culinders even tried pulling behind a truck (plugs out and slow) and letting the clutch out still no luck just wont turn over starter is good just can get the engine to turn over. There is a place called Sport Wheel it is located in the US in Jordan MN this is a huge motercycle salvage yard with tons of parts they have web page under the name sport wheels where you can enquire about most parts needed.

I had the same issue with my bike it sat for 7 years and had a heavy film on the windsheild, I have a wash tube sink and filled it with medium hot water and laundry soap then let the windsheild soak overnight the film cam off with a rag and some elbow grease looks great now :D

Bigjim all is not lost, these bike are like a Timex they take a licking and keep on ticking. OK yes pull all four plugs and shoot some Penetrating oil into each cylinder (spray alot in there you want it all covered) let that sit over night or two and try getting engine to turn over by pushing it WI...

Put it in 5th gear and try. In the lower gears, it has to spin the engine much more for a given distance. In 5th gear you have the best mechanical advantage when pushing the bike. Will the starter try to turn the engine or does it "just click" with nothing from the starter. If it just clicks then there is a problem with the starter.
