fog lights

One of my fog lights blew. It was burnt out and 35 watts. I was told that 55 watts were normal so I put 2 new ones in. They did not light up while the bike was running but I noticed they lit up while the bike was turning over and then went out after it started. First of all is 55 watts to much and w...

Front wheel bearings

hello fellow wingers Anyone ever have to change the front wheel bearings on an 1800. Mine are not making noise but I got caught having to change the rear bearings in the middle of a trip at 150,000 kilometers and I don't want the same thing to happen with the front on the next trip through quebec. g...

Re: jacking bike

I have the pit bull style but the bike is not flat on the bottom.
my 1500 was not balanced well so the back end was always low and I had to stick pieces of wood under the back wheel as I jacked. It never felt safe to me.
Is the 1800 the same.

winterizing

Hey fellow wingers..........I'd like to get some of your opinions on winterizing your wing.
I live southern on. but it still can go to minus 30 in the garage.
I could go by the manual but is that the best way.

exhaust dripping water

I noticed that after sitting for a while my 92 Goldwing would drip water excessively from the pipes while idling. It doesn't smell like anti freeze or gas. It does have a bit of an oil smell but that's normal ,right?

Re: relay A & B

What I mean when I say inches,is that the bike will only move an inch at a time when I hold the start button and then stop until I hold the start button again and then eventually it won't move at all. It's like something is stopping the flow of power. I've checked everything except what's under the ...

Re: relay A & B

I've done the switch on the handlebar and cleaned it up and extended the spring and it works well. last year if I pressed it to hard it would not start until I pressed it very gently. Now its back to normal. I checked the reverse resister behind the battery and it measured .6 ohms at each wire. the ...

Re: reverse resistor

so this can be done with the resistor still mounted in the bike with the wires disconnected?
With my resistor on the lowest setting (200 ) I read .6 resistance between all 3 wires.
Does this sound right?
