Yes I read some where in these posting that some one used steel bb's to balance there tires. If you (the person who did) read this, how are they doing and are you still using them?? Others, I would know what do you think??? Thanks!!

Thanks for the info Guy's. And it is a 1997 gl1500 Aspencade. But I will put that down from now on.... :!: If it is the pet-cock wouldn't that mess up your idle too?

smell gas

After a long ride, and I park back in the garage. Come back in a little later and smell gas. Any ideals??

Thanks Rob, that fixed the problem!!! There was air in the front brake. Bled it and then the back, and now have brakes.

rear brake

I have a 1993 GL 1500 that I am working on for a friend. It has no back brakes. There is plenty of pad there, just can't get them to pump up! I have bled and bled them with no luck. Can any one or one's give me some ideals?????? Thanks very much Also please! Witch front brake works with the back,,,,...

Thanks FM for sending the pix. I will definitely check that bushing out today some time.
As far as switching the pads, I don't know. Hate to do that after they have already seated a little.

The only other thing I would check for is a warped disc? Thanks Aussie, looked at the pins and they r smooth and greased. As far as a warped disk, it did not do it with the other pads . Guess the saying is true : Don't fix it if it isn't broke : Old pads were only half way gone, but I had to have ne...

O , yea it's ticking a lot more than that. Like one guy said: like when you used to put a card on bicycle spokes.

Organic Pads... Careful in rain, they fade.

KEEF, try disconnecting the odometer cable at the axle, tie it up and ride.
It's not the odometer cable, the noise is there when I brake. Not all the time.

Sid,, yes I did the same thing too, threw the old ones away. I have the EBC organic pads. Softer but less wear on the disk.
Maybe after they get broke in a little bit, the noise will go away..... :(

Took the caliper back apart today. The pads were laying flat according to how they wore. The slider pins are nice and smooth. Made sure the axle was in correctly. Put the grove of the axle just pass the fork. Cleaned every thing real good. Pads looked fine. Reversed the pads. The bolts on the disk a...

Did that. It's coming from the left front caliper.
Can't figure why yet......
