Re: 1994 Honda Goldwing Intercom, how to use

I had not seen the left cover with key yet as a picture, are optional or of some model ? It is an aftermarket item. You do have to remove the snaps from the pocket and some minor cutting of the pocket is required for the tabs to fit. Mine came with a simple twist latch but you can find key lock kit...

Re: Goldwing Cover

Sadly indoors is not an option at the moment. The colour faded out in the first three months, might just as well bought a black one (I think red was an extra fiver but it looked good at first). Sid When the black fades it turns to gray. The charcoal will just get lighter. I have owned all three col...

Re: 2018 Cleveland Motorcycle Show Report - Pictures! Video!

Thanks for taking the time to document this event for those of us that can't attend for one reason or another. I especially enjoy the video, the comments, and critiques you do. You've gone beyond the flash and dazzle of a new machine to focus on what might be irksome (Like the passenger riding posit...

Re: While I'm in there ytis(eye-tis)

The lack of sockets in the stock light bar is the reason why I used the strip lights. They are low profile and I only had to drill one hole in the saddle bag door and one into the space under the rear tail light to access the plug.

Re: While I'm in there ytis(eye-tis)

I installed the strip lights in mine. I used a heat gun to soften the mastic so I could pry off the lens. Also, the left fairing side marker was nice enough to fall apart for me so before I glued it back together I put in two rows of them. However... I haven't been able to get the right side apart. ...

Re: Engine heaters anyone?

... How much heat would one get from a 25 watt heater? Just asking. (Tongue in cheek) My guess would be... 25 watts. But I agree with you about it being under powered for the job, even though the Wing engine is much smaller than a car engine. I bought a used Pontiac that was originally sold in Cana...

My problem with it is that I would go through more CO2 cartridges than gasoline, because I would NEVER remember to unclip that damn tether before I got off the bike!!

I have carried a weeks worth of groceries in the saddlebags and trunk but had to strap the 25 lb bag of dog food to the passenger seat with bungie cords. The surprised look on peoples faces when I stopped behind my Wing with the shopping cart was priceless!

A sure sign your petcock needs rebuilding is if you also have the little puddle of fuel in the tray under the petcock. What seeps out will make everything smell like gasoline!

Re: Front tire for GL1500....again?

I've always used weight. My 185 vredestein took 1\2 oz. Total. Less than the Elite 3 it replaced. All tires balance differently. Even two of the same model will have different heavy spots. From September 2006 to December 2017 I have run six sets of Dunlop E3s on my 1500. All required different weig...

Re: 95 rear wheel Cush drive. How much movement?

I just replaced mine this past week end. They were a little wobbly but not real loose. they were easy to remove... The new ones were a bit snug. I used a small block of wood and a hammer to gently tap them all the way in. 20171216_154005.jpg The disk that holds them in place was a different story al...

Re: Valve stems

I just installed my 10th set of tires and with them, changed from the original factory stems to the metal stem valves. The rear stem was starting to show signs of ageing. This was with 177K miles. Probably a bit too long, but the factory units never looked bad.
