Re: Perfect Ride Handguards: P-Review

On the installation video earlier in this post it shows you drilling a hole in the throttle boss. And maybe change spacers. I failed to mention I have a 1800. It does not contact the mirrors at all.

Took my first ride with the hand guards. I was real pleased. My wrist did contact when backing out of garage. But while riding they never interfered at all. The ride home from work I did not wear gloves my hands stayed warm inside the gaurds I would take my hands out and put in the wind it was cold....

Re: Perfect Ride Handguards: P-Review

I ordered a set today. I cannot stand cold hands. I hope they perform well I feel they will. When removed what does the end of handle bar look like? I guess in summer I would put the original counter balance back in. Happy Thanksgiving.

Re: side cover removal

They are easier to remove if the seat is off. But you can't do that every time. They are a pain to remove especially making sure the tab goes under the seat. I have looked for videos that shows the proper way but no luck. I have purchased the crusemans online maintience instructions. Need to look to...

Re: How to use a motorcycle lift

On my 1800 I drive up on a couple of 1 by 12 ,12 inch boards. Otherwise I cannot get my jack under. My jack came from Sams club 18 years ago. Run the air shocks all the way up. Also put the kick stand on one . Then with the center stand up the aft end of jack goes there at the pivot point forward pa...

Re: Trailer picture thread

Could you add a bracket under the aft end of the round tube on the trailer? You could even bend it up and to the center of trailer. Just a thought.

Re: Squeeky Trunk

Cycle Max sells baby buggy bumpers. I purchased and installed follow directions exactly. Stop squeaking and helps against paint rub. I also did the foam on the hinges where they fold over each other. Good luck.

I had a door that was broken when I purchased the bike. I used some safety wire to keep it from falling off. Once it shut it was stable. Good luck.

Sounds like the fob is setting of the panic alarm. Not sure but worth a look. If you hit panic what does it do? Good luck. Sorry I read your post again. So not sure this idea is even worth trying.

You are so right. I saw a diagram of the dimensions for fabricating one didn't think much about it at the time. I can not locate it now. I am a aircraft mechanic and have access to metal and forming machines. Not sure why I did not grab it when I saw it. I am sure it was pre-oil filter disaster.
