Re: '96 GL1500A Coolant change problem

I can only tell you they are definitely holding the cornering lights on my '96. So far, the most difficult and time consuming part of the job was removing the "tupperware".

Thanks for the reply.
It was just laying in the fairing under cover, I suppose it's possible it's a piece of road debris. I'm not the original owner so it's difficult to analyze.

'96 GL1500A Coolant change problem

During the removing of the front cover and under cover, a rubber tubing covered spring about 5" long and 1/2" dia. dropped out of the under cover. Anyone have an idea where it belongs and/or what it's purpose is? (image attached)
Thanks for your help

Re: STARTING WITH OUT BEING IN NEUTRAL

Did you check the operation of the correct clutch switch? There are two - one that operates when the clutch lever is just slightly depressed - it disconnects the cruise control. The second switch operates when the clutch lever is fully depressed - that's the switch that allows you to start the bike...

To make a long story short, I just turned 78 and ride a triked GL1500. Still like the bugs in my teeth. Upside is, after the ride just plop 'em in a cup with a denture cleanser and voila, ready for the next ride.
