Re: Less Stress To The Blue Ridge

Just wondering if you are aware the Blue Ridge Parkway does not start in Front Royal! That is the North end of the Sky Line Drive. The North end of the Blue Ridge starts at the South end of the Sky Line at Rock Fish Gap.

If seller did not inform you it was the covers only w/no brackets, I'd be asking to return them and get a refund!

If you want to stop the buffeting on you and a passenger, buy the best shield on the market!
F4 Customs
My suggestion is the +4, tinted/vented

Re: Trike

You don't say if you added a rake kit or not?
If not, a low speed head shake is pretty common, especially from about 40mph on down.
If you do have a rake kit, most likely the head bearings are not torqued enough

Re: Progressive suspension upgrades

Bike now just getting 10k on it All you should need at this point is to set the preload at 25(if you haven't already) and ride!!! When my 06 was new, I tried a lot of different preloads for solo and 2 up. Wife wasn't to happy with the ride! Then read a thread on another forum, posted by Tom Finch, ...

Re: Pulling a Trailer

Make sure you check out a Wing w/a Hannigan GenI conversion!!! Extended & wider wheel base + IRS makes for the smoothest ride I found! The big + is the rear end is offset to align w/the Wings drive shaft output. No severe drive shaft angles to put undue stress on the U-joints. Also, scheduled mainte...

Re: Progressive suspension upgrades

I'm considering an upgrade to the suspension on my 2014 wing and would like to hear from anyone that has done the following; Monotube front fork upgrade, was the installation difficult? How did this affect ride quality? Don't know your miles??? Anyway, all suspensions wear out! If you are near 35 t...

Re: Need some Trike advice

Thanks to all. Saw a lovely 2010 Hannigan but was out of pocketbook range. Picking up my 2007 Motortrike with 33K on Tuesday. With the severe offset of the drive shaft(which Hannigan doesn't have)please make sure you find out the service interval on the U-joints/drive shaft and maintain that schedu...

Re: Need some Trike advice

Find a 1500 or an 1800 that has a Hannigan conversion on it to test ride. You will know what you want after that ride!!! Both bikes are fine for "power" when triked! You don't loose any comfort, as a natter of fact, the ride is smoother with the extended wheel base, wider stance and IRS suspension o...

Re: Progressive Springs? Worth Changing?

You didn't tell us how many miles on the bike?
Suspensions do wear out and need replaced. Anti dives do need cleaned to work properly.
Progressive springs are harsher than OEM springs.
I do like the mono-tubes!

Re: rear left saddle bag tail light won't work

rear left saddle bag tail light won't work or My front left head light got damaged Which is it? If your headlamp lens is broken you need to replace the headlamp. Good source is to search motorcycle salvage yards, You do not want water(rain) getting in the headlamp! As for the 23volts showing. There ...

Re: 2003 gold wing radio lost menory

2 suggestions come to mind
1. Have the battery load tested.
2. Disconnect battery, if it tested good, for a while, which may do a reset on the radio.
If that fails, contact Sierra Electronics @ Toll Free: 1-800-338-6938

Re: trike kits

Hannigan Gen I. Triked in 2010. After nearly a 4yr search and test rides, picked the Gen I Hannigan for several reasons. Extended/wider wheel base, ease of maintenance, smoothest ride + the biggest reason was the off set rear end to align w/the drive shaft output of the Wing. No severe angles puttin...

Re: Adjust headlights on 2005 gl 1800

HEADLAMP AIM PROCEDURE Proper headlamp aim is achieved by adjusting the upper(high) beams. Bike needs to be on a level floor, standing upright, loaded as you normally ride. (re, 1up-you for most), with pre load set as you ride 1up, placed 25' from a wall to the headlamp lens in front of the upper be...

Re: Voyager trike kit

If you can't afford a true trike conversion then, by all means whatever it takes to keep riding! Trigg would be my choice and a rake kit is a must for me! Without a rake kit, bike wanted to "rip" the handlebars out of my hands in a tight turn. Very hard to steer!!!!! Switched to a Hannigan conversio...

DIFFERENT "VIEW"
How does looking over the top "improve" ones view???? Windshields are clear or lightly tinted!
One does not look over your shield in a cage!!!!
As far buffeting following large vehicles, bike would shake even if you had no shield!
