Re: 30 amp fuse

Go to your local auto parts store. And buy a inline fuse holder with 30 amp fuse.
Do away with the dog bone fuse. Remove the 2 screws holding dog bone fuse and remove it and install the inline fuse in place of dog bone.

Re: Carb question.

You can also pull carb rack sit on work bench. Get some kind of tank that you can connect fuel hose to fill tank book fuel line up to carb rack and sit tank above carb rack to let fuel run into carb rack and look for fuel leaks then. Also pick up carb rack and tilt left right to look for leaks.

Re: Tricky timing belt issue GL 1100 HELP

Stuck needle float . you will have to pull carb rack.
You can try to tap the 3 & 4 carbs down by the sides and bottom of carbs to see if they work loose. But I would pull carb rack.

Left side of the coils. Mounted on frame. There will be 2 of them mounted with 1 bolt about 2" x 3". My are silver in color. You can just unplug them and switch . one controls 2 cylinders for spark and other does other 2 cylinders.

Re: 1100 won't start

Switch the plugs on the 2 spart igniters. They are on the left side of frame near front. Just pull the connector plugs and switch to other ingniter.
If you have spark on the other 2 cylinders that were dead. You have bad ingniters. Clean all connectors.
