Problems with brake lights.

OK guys, I need some help from some of you electrical geniuses. I just installed the Kuryakyn tail light flasher with the help of my auto mechanic. When I left his shop I had tail lights flashing everywhere!! I got home and found another light that I had ordered previously called the Kuryakyn Rear F...

LED Foglights

OK guys, here's one for you to dissect. What is the brightest set of fog lights that will fit a 2008 GL1800 Gold Wing? Keep in mind I want something relatively easy to install.

Re: Tuning CB and setting SWR

Thanks for the info pastoT. I got in touch with a ham radio man who is an expert on antennas and he fixed my SWR and everything else on my bike. All I needed was about a foot more antenna. :P

Re: Tuning CB and setting SWR

Thanks for the suggestion about the Ham Radio Club. That's the best idea that I've heard so far.

Re: Tuning CB and setting SWR

Don't really know what kind of connectors it has, but I'm headed to Radio Shack to find out! Will let you know. I do know it has one connector a bit smaller than a PL259.
I took a photo of it with my cell phone, but don't have a clue how to post it. Do you know how

Re: Tuning CB and setting SWR

The only thing wrong here is that my CB is an aftermarket that was installed by a shop that put a lot of Kuryakin accessories on my bike. The CB has Harley Davidson written on it and was made by Midland for Harley. Are there any connections anywhere that will fit a Midland radio?

Tuning CB and setting SWR

OK Guys, I need some help on this one. I need to tweak the power on my CB and set the SWR. I have a meter to so that, but the CB that is in the rear luggage compartment on my 2008 GL1800 does not fit the connections. I have a PL259 on the antenna that will fit one side, but the transmitter side has ...

Re: AMSOIL use in GL 1800?

Do any of you use the Amsoil filter with the oil in your 2008 GL1800? If so what number filter do you use?

Re: Gear identity switch

The gear identity indicator I ordered was a Heal Tech Pro DS for a GL 1800 05-14. Look it up and give me your opinion of it. Looks real simple to hook up. Could fool me though

Gear identity switch

Have any of you ever tried one of those gear identity switches on a Goldwing? If so does it work good? I should have asked if it was reliable? I don't remember the name or number, but the one I have reference to plugs into the wiring harness under the seat and works automatically. No wires to splice...

GL1800 Hi-Lo beam switch inop for Hi beam.

The Skyknight has returned. Ok, to all of you who do dumb things involving your bike, well, I am really ashamed to admit this. You remember about a week ago when I had a crisis with my Hi-Lo beam on my headlights and I bought relays and they didn't cure my problem? Well, today I found the problem. I...

Re: Hi-Lo Headlight switch

Blue, I can't answer your question as to why my son named the cat Waterslider. Who know why a kid does things like that?
Rob, I had a friend in Wyoming who had a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Very very smart dog. Smarter than a lot of people I know. :o :o

Re: Hi-Lo Headlight switch

I am trying all of your suggestions guys and eventually I will get this problem solved. I have already ordered a couple of relays. They don't cost much so I am taking the easy way first. Thanks so much for the help!!

Hi-Lo Headlight switch

I hope someone out there can help me with this one. All of a sudden my headlights will not go to bright. I have tried everything that I know to do, but the switch still will not throw the lights on bright. I can find no easy way to get inside the hi-lo switch so I could lube it or get the corrosion ...
