Re: The loneliest road in America???

All I can say is..... to each there own. I hope you enjoy your ride, YAWNNNNN. ;) And yes I know about all those places to check out. believe me I was looking for things to stop at. The traffic on that road was damn near as bad as I-5 out here in Oregon. maybe I hit it at a bad time. Wont ever do it...

Re: The loneliest road in America???

We are planning a ride to the Pacific NW, Oregon and Washington, this year from Oklahoma. I am thinking of riding through Utah and across Nevada as we have ridden the southern and northern routes. My question is: Has anyone been across Nevada on US 50? Looks like it is 400 miles of emptyness. Almos...

Re: turn signal wires

When I installed it I tucked the isolator itself back under the trunk (you'll see there are cubbies near the center of the trunk underneath it where you can fit things like that box). The black loom contains all the wires that go to the trailer. I ran it down along the rear bag frame, zip-tied to t...

Re: turn signal wires

That looks like a nice isolator admin. Just one quick question if you don't mind. After you had the unit installed where did you run that black wire harness to get those wires down to the hitch. When I installed it I tucked the isolator itself back under the trunk (you'll see there are cubbies near...

Re: I Cut The CORD!!!!! Best $35 spent! BT-S2 1000m Bluetooth Headset Review

I saw the article about these on the Goldwing Docs main page and decided to order 2 of these from GearBest. As was mentioned by bluthundr31 and others my units took over 3 weeks to arrive, so be prepared to be patient if ordering from GearBest. I charged both units and plugged a speaker/mic into on...

Re: 2018 Cleveland Motorcycle Show Report - Pictures! Video!

The new GL1800 is expected to do around 200 miles on a tank, not 100 - but that's still not great. That is about all any of my Goldwings have ever got.... at 185 miles, I better be pulling into a gas station.... none of them have ever averaged over 33 mpg averaged over a year's record keeping. That...

Re: 2018 Cleveland Motorcycle Show Report - Pictures! Video!

That has got to be the ugliest gold wing ever. There is nothing I like about it except the blue color. That thing looks like a ugly Victory vision only worse. Plus all the other negative things said about I would not buy that thing if it were half the price. And what's this bullcrap about only 100 m...

They had to be Driver-Less, wandering between road edge to road edge..... horns honking, and me trying to dial up the Tx OHP, but they don't answer to *55 like Okie OHP boys do. so, I hit the microphone picture and asked Google for the Tx Hp boys, and got an 800 number, no thank you, not while I am...

Re: Who Never Wears A Helmet

Spoke to a woman at a riding class that does not wear a helmet. She said a nurse told her they would break your neck in a crash. I didn't want to argue with her but that is justifying a behavior with a total disregard doe the truth. It's convenient so believed. The couple that I bought my wing from...

Re: Who Never Wears A Helmet

I don't agree with helmet laws or seat belt laws, unless you are younger than 18. I used to never wear a helmet and for the longest time didn't have a motorcycle endorsement. I passed the written test, but you had to wear a helmet for the riding test, and I wasn't going to buy a helmet for one time...

I just took a new look at Services and Windows Update: it wasn't the way I left it before, MS has sneaky ways to turn it back on... now, it will be a bit harder for them to mess with I am still using Win7 Pro and don't want it to be corrupted with that Win10 crap. I just wish I could use Linux but ...

Why do I prefer Linux?MmsCamera_2018-01-11-09-34-47.jpg Right in the middle of a hour long frequency data entry it decided to crash and update. Re: Who Never Wears A Helmet

Well I do not believe there should be a helmet law. We should all have the choice to be be smart or stupid. That being said I always wear a helmet. Why would you not want to protect yourself? All the excuses I have heard in this thread and the other one on wearing a helmet are just plain not valid. ...

I am running Linux 18.3 on a laptop and mainframe with an enormous tv for the screen. I hated windows from Win95 on. Crashes in the middle of data entry a hour long. I have 17.3 Mint Cinnamon on a Dell laptop, and on this ASUS laptop that is 2 years old, I reformatted it totally, and it is on Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon and I love it.
