Snapped the left side cover on - checked it, yup, it’s on. Hit the highway. Cover blew off in no time.
Check out the How-To Article on this site for keeping the side covers from falling off a GL1100. It should work the same way for a GL1200 side cover. Hope you can get a replacement for your bike.

Wondering if this was a defective unit or a wiring issue.
I was just about to order one of those units for a 1980 GL1100.

Re: Randakk Carb DVD in UK

Hi Shammon. I've been searching for one for you in the UK but I can't find them through any retail source. My only suggestion is keep watching ebay UK for a used one, or you might just have to order a new one from Randakk's in the USA. Another possibility to try is contacting some of the UK chapters...

Re: neutral switch / tachometer oil leak

Hi Ernest. Your oil seal is a 4.8 x 14.5 x 5 seal. It's Honda part #91256-425-003, although that doesn't help you directly because you said there are no Honda dealerships at your location. Hope you can find the seal and fix your bike.

Good job Wilcoy02, you came back and fixed your post. Yesterday you only had the right cover for sale in your previous post and I couldn't resist giving you a little grief for it. :)

I know where there is a mint condition left side one for sale that is closer to you than to me. I really wanted to buy it for myself but I fixed the broken left side cover on my bike really nicely with the method I learned about right here on GoldwingDocs. I'll PM you where it's listed for sale (it'...

Are these side covers falling off your bike when you're out riding or is somebody stealing them off the bike when it's parked?

Re: Wide Glide front end for 1983 GL1100

Hi ctxrider. I'm not sure very many guys on a Goldwing forum know what a Wide Glide front end is. Your description of what you are looking for makes me think of the front forks and headlight assembly from an FLH police bike. I'm thinking you are trying to create a bike that looks like a 1990 or newe...

Hi Jens. A good friend of mine had a 1969 Triumph Bonneville delivered to Bragg Creek from Ontario not too long ago. They did a good job getting the bike to him. As soon as I can contact him I'll find out who he used and let you know more details. Don't forget we have a VJMC meeting again in 2 weeks.

Got a good deal on some GL1100 parts.

Last week I was looking through the on-line listings of a local buy and sell site for Goldwings and parts for sale. I answered an add for a new pair of Dunlop tires mounted and balanced on a set of 1981 Interstate wheels for $125. I happen to need new tires right now for my 1100 so I arranged to go ...

I just dealt with the same issue recently too. I concluded the whole problem could have been avoided if Honda had simply put the removable lower section of the frame on the right side of the engine instead of the left side where they did.

Maz is right about the purpose of the warning buzzer. I suspect it is more to warn the rider his signal is on rather than warn pedestrians. When I rode my 1980 Interstate home from the sellers house the day I bought it the buzzer scared the hell out of me the first time I heard it go off! I thought ...

Hi Darmoad. I'm in the process of repairing my fairing that had damage as well as speaker holes that were cut into the inner panel.
