Re: 1800 Alternator

My brother had one fail last summer on a 2002 with 30,000 miles on the clock. The dealer who replaced it said their mechanic, who has over 20 years working on Hondas, said it was the first one he ever put on an 1800.

Re: National Park Lifetime Senior Pass to Increase

Is the old senior pass still good or bo you have to by new Your current senior pass is a life time pass and will still be good (to all current accounts). But if you lose it, it will cost $80 to replace. This is the information I was given by park ranger when entering Rocky Mountain NP last August.

Re: camping

I rode my bike to trailer week Yeah, Jim, I hear ya - but - I do not feel too bad about the trailering my bike and having a slide in camper to sleep in. I passed the 800,000 mile point in 54 years riding sometime in the summer of 2017. I still love riding, but find comfort to be - well - comfortabl...

Re: Auto Tire on the Rear, GL1800

well a few months ago I told you about the bike I bought with a CT on the back, I put 700 miles on then decided to replace it, it was down to the indicators. I decided to go back with a MT and I like the MT better. I like it in the corners and on angle drive ways like coming out of gas stations. th...

Re: Auto Tire on the Rear, GL1800

I am looking at a a cheap Walmart winter tire 195 65r16. It has what looks like a more rounded tread profile. Will the tire fit? It has a 400 tread depth. Anyone that is looking at CT's please, please don't post on the forums that you're looking at or running a $49.95 tire on your Wing. That just fee...

Re: Motorcycle Moon?

What would make this significant would be, "of the motorcyclists riding at night, the number of fatalities amongst those riders is 3.4% on nights with a full moon, vs 2.3% on moonless nights." Of course, there is no way of knowing how many people ride at night, so this is impossible, and the "stati...

Re: Antifreeze

I'm looking at ingredients on this bottle of genuine Honda coolant. It says, non-abrasive corrosion inhibitor. Is that the same as 100% silicate free? And would the 50/50 mix be with distilled water? I suspect that the answer will be yes, but I'm not positive. My GL1000 takes 3.4 quarts. This bottl...

Re: bunkhouse or time out?

Two of the people I travel with have campers, one has a Time-out, the other a Bunkhouse. I am still tenting but would like a camper so have been watching them haul, set-up and tear down with interest. Hauling of these seem pretty equal. When set-up camping in the Time-out keeps you completely up off...
