White Bike Oh My

Postby littlebeaver » Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:02 am

Well folks, I took out my newly painted white motorcycle yesterday and went for a ride around loop 410 in San Antonio, Texas drivers here speed everywhere and drive stupidly, well guess what.. I gotta tell you I have never seen so many brake lights go on in my life, as I ride up on someone they slow down, you know they think I'm the fuzz and they don't want a ticket, all I could do is giggle a bit, my bike looks like one of those old chips bikes and I gotta say I'm getting a lot more respect on the highways now, I love it...  You other guy's with white bikes know of what I speak...

Yup. It actually gets annoying after a while, if you're on the freeway, and everyone around (and in FRONT of) you persists in driving exactly the speed limit around you. :)

I've had similar reaction to my headlight modulator except they pull over and let me by.

Yup, I get that too from my headlight modulator, both on my 1100 and 1500.

Most folks don't know if a funeral is coming or if they are getting pulled over I bet, ha ha, first time I saw one of those flashing head lights I didn't know what it meant.. Man a white bike and a flashing headlight, just amagine seeing that in your rearview mirror coming up behind you..

Yep. I get that a lot up here in Michigan, too. My bike is similar in color to the local LEO's bikes and I wear a half-helmet so it tends to confuse the cagers when they see me in their mirrors. It's funny to see them slow down and change lanes.
