Need some bling for your bike?

Here's a new way to ad some flash to your ride. It's an interesting concept.

It seems like there's a ton of overspray and waste involved. Looks like alot going down the drain! With those kind of results, that stuff can't be harmless.

Yep, nice chrome plated drain pipes now. I wonder about the chemicals used, and how something like that holds up, how it compares to real chrome. Like the saying goes, "if it looks too good to be true it probably is", since it was "sprayed" on over paint.
"To ride is the reason, the destination the excuse."

That is really cool. Here is what they say on the video.
Unlike the highly toxic old plating technique,
the new MEKKI Chrome Plating has no
enviromental bad influence, some of the
substances we use, are used in Japan`s medicine
system, one of them is Silver Nitrate (AgNO3).
It won`t harm the person who uses it or
the environment.
So it looks like no harm to the enviro. http://www.mekki-chrome.com/color.html

I think his tripod fell over while taking the pic, or his bike was rolling downhill when he snapped it... :D ;)
