Here you go: How To Change Your Engine Oil

I've been behind on writing these up, as I was kind of desperate to get my bike running and on the road. I've got hundreds of pictures to sort through, and now just have to get them sorted, and the articles written up. I'll get to the brake articles soon.

You really do great instructionals on doing things....Almost makes me want to change the way I do it...
There is a little MC shop next door to a VFW that I have been going to for over 30 years...It is owned by Gene Liewellyn. He is my age and doesn't work on many bikes anymore. He is about as semi retired as you can get without being totally retired. I am one of the Lucky ones he will usually not say NO if I need something. His name probably won't ring any bells but his daughter is in the top five of womens MC drag racing. You can look her up....it is Peggy Liewellyn...I remember her when she was riding around on a 50cc home made mini bike, long before pocket bikes showed up. It gives me a reason to go visit an old friend and get my oil changed at the same time.
Actually I do change my own oil sometimes and wasn't aware there was a oil filter wrench available that can use without taking all the plastic down. Will be looking for one unless you can just tell me who carries it.

You need to download a service manual for your bike if you are going to do maintenance on it. You can download them for free and print out the section or pages you need and put them in a loose leaf folder and keep it in the garage for future use. If it gets dirty just print a new page. It is also good to keep your service records in so you can tell when services were done.

I would never try maintaining a vehicle without the service manual. You are asking for trouble if you do.
