One More in the Barn

Postby MJSantos » Mon Apr 16, 2012 6:57 pm

Need help/advice! My wife bartered a deal last week and now we have a 2002 Shadow Spirit. She owns a mattress store so what a deal. Mattresses for the bike. It's been sitting since 2010 so I know a overall cleaning, cleaning the tank and fuel system. After two Goldwing redos this is almost the norm. Along with the normal oil change anti-freeze change and flush the brake systems and new tires/battery.
I just know one of the members has to have the manuals for this bike. Send a PM if you know what I mean. Haynes does have the manual but I'm not keen because of the errors they have. I'd rather ask for help here on this site since I've been around for awhile and have faith in all of you. I'll get pictures of it once I bring it home this weekend.

Those Shadows are nice bikes, had an 82 Candy Red one. Ran like a top, and they never really changed it much, just a lot of little refinements. The basic is the same.

Well now that this one is almost done, just needs tires, I'll get back on the white bike.

My wife has the 750 Aero shadow (with shaft drive) and loves it.. The bike runs very well, I particularly like that they have carbs not fuel injection!! Any fool can clean a carb, fuel injection is a totally different kettle of fish..
