Ok I shall reply here as well my friend, these are painted nicely and they are golden in color, it strikes me as something symbolic but if I know my practical joker friend here he's probably going to say they are to tighten my ears together or something, really I thought it was something special a golden wingnut for a Nut that loves Wings..Hummm I am pretty bright Mr. Todd, it's a lock nut with a pretty course pitch but I really don't think it's metric, I think it's really close to 1.75 but I seriously don't think there is any bolt on the bike with that pitch and I didn't go looking on the bike, sorry to bust up you little plan, I know you thought I'd check every bolt on the bike, but this is Littlebeaver man.. come on   Now my educated guess is it's symbolic in nature, wingnut for a Wing Nut.. :D It is true I really honestly and truly do not know what these silly little things are, but I like them because my friend Todd gave them to me..I don't care if it's an insult to me, I like them..I think I will wear them around my neck, show off my bling..See guy's if I lay it on my head the wingnuts hang perfectly by my ears, perhaps I am to wear these at bike shows..Walk around like a goofy goofball or something..

Martin ,you killing me man.   Seriously I have tears in my eyes and a sore gut from laughing so hard. I got the mental picture of you walking around with these wingnuts at the side of your head bouncing off your ears as you move. Be patient you will find out tomorrow............maybe 8-)

I don't think it has anything to do with personal area's, it's something symbolic..like the good luck bell..Which someone on this site gifted me for no apparent reason..Probably felt sorry for me   ...Like Todd does..
