My daughter is very ill

Postby BigSwede » Fri May 18, 2012 11:18 pm

Hello all,

I'm sorry to post this here but right now I need all the help I can get...

Yesterday my 19 year old daughter took an overdose of tylenol, we don't know why. She is in hospital on a respirator and has swelling of the brain and is not responsive. The next 24 hours are critical for the swelling to go down if she is to recover. Fortunately we have good insurance so money isn't an issue, I just want my girl to come home. I would appreciate it if you could please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for reading this,

Mark Johansson

That is terrible news and so sad to hear. Both my wife and I will ask the dear Lord to watch over her and pray that she gets well soon.

WE lost our thirty four year old daughter four years ago to something stupid and I STILL feel it. I hope YOUR daughter FULLY recovers and makes it home with you where she belongs. When she does PLEASE listen to what she talks about. Perhaps some counseling would bring about a positive change. I didn’t listen to my daughter and wish I had. All the best and keep positive thoughts going.

I also have prayed that God's will be done. The rest is up to God and your girl. I hope for the best of results. I feel your pain. We lost our daughter in law (grandchildrens mother) to a similar situation.

Mark, I'm so very sorry man... Please understand that girls at that age are very likey to do the unexpected , We have a 20 year old daughter and a 14 year old..If something like this were to happen I would freak..I know you guy's really love that little girl, it's not her time... Not now, she has her whole life ahead of her..I will pray for her ...I will ask our family members to pray for her..You are a great guy Mark, I'm sure your wife is a sweet person too,, be strong for her and the others.. I'm very sad to hear this news, but all we can do now is pray to the higher power..

I'm proud to be part of this group and owners of goldwings Good people helping other good people.. Keep the faith Thinking and praying for your family... Sally

I'm sorry I've taken so long to update this. Unfortunately my daughter Christy Shannon passed away early Sunday morning. I want to thank everyone who responded to my post with your prayers and good wishes. Even though we were not able to save her, we know she's in a better place now and not suffering.

Also, she was an organ donor, so even in this tragedy, she was able to help others.

A man at our church was on a waiting list for a lung transplant. He was called in for a transplant at the same hospital, around the same time Christy's organs were being recovered. We don't know for sure he was her recipient but it seems quite probable.

Thanks again to all for reading this.

Please accept my utmost condolences in your time of grief. I cannot in any way say that I know how you feel because I don't. I only hope that time will heal. God's will be done.

I can't even think of the words to express how horrible this must be to go through. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Mark. I know it's some comfort to know that in her passing, she's helped others, but it can't possibly overcome the loss and grief. I'm thinking of you and your family.

Mark, I had my 14 year old sit down and read this post, then I had my 20 year old read it as she's home on summer break, they both assured me they wouldn't go there...this is a sad day for all of us..

My thoughts and prayers are with you Mark. I have 5 daughters ranging in age from 48 down to 30. All 5 are married and out of the house, BUT I STILL worry about each of them. 15 years ago we lost a grandson and that is still hard for me to this day, so I can't imagine how you must feel. Just know that we all love you and care for you and your family.
