roadside assistance coverage

Postby striper » Wed May 30, 2012 9:47 am

I would like suggestions as to what organization i should join to obtain roadside assistance etc. if needed. My insurance provides some coverage, but just wondering what others opinions are of the GWRRA, and/or other organizations that might be available.

Gwrra offers two types of road asst, I took the plus it will give you more miles and also will cover your personal cars and truck. And you get more tows,You will also get the Gold Book it has every member and if they have tools trailer and there phone numbers,So if your out traveling anywhere you can find help.Give there web site a look and get more details. Good Luck Hal

If you expect help from gwrra, road service ( dont.) last month my wife and i was comming home from a short lunch trip from baker california, we blew the rear tire going at apx 75 mph on I-15. i called the phone number on the card and told them that i was between baker ca. and nevada state line on i-15, they kept telling me that there is no such place. and can not find me on the map . but that not the worst part of it. i sent the paper work as required , to get my towing fee back. now they said they pay up to 35 mile of towing, ya right. my bill was $360. and only rec $30. then i called them and ask what going on, then they sent m$70. and said that was the max i could rec. is $100. i am afraid to try the pluss program they offer

Good Sams Club has an excellent roadside assistance program. Unlimited mileage to nearest service center. $112 per year. $79.00 for first year. Covers anything that you or anyone in your household drive.

BMWMOA has towing as well, and you don't have to have a beemer! The tows are free up to 100 miles then you pay the difference. The reliability will depend on the competance of the service provider in the area. I've had good luck when I've needed it! :)
