Interchangeable parts, year to year

Postby zamboni920 » Fri Jun 01, 2012 9:42 pm

Is there such a thing as a listing of parts interchangeable from year to year on the different Goldwing models? It does seem that the majority of parts on any given model are indeed interchangeable, yet there also seem to be (to me, at least) some "shady" areas. Any info?

Probably the easiest way to find out is to download the parts manuals and compare numbers. If a do-hickey thingy fits all the year models,it will have the same part number, and if the zing bearin on the kanuten valve is only shown on just one...well then it's indigenous to that year model only.

Is this clear as mud??? :?

So you are saying the Thingamajig from a 1988 might be the same as the whatshamacallit on a 94 ?
The mud is clear now  .

Now I assume that a do-hickey and a doo-dah are very different from a watch-a-ma-call it or a thingyme-bob, or have I got everything wrong or are they very close to each other,
