Hello there from a New Zealand Goldwing Owner

Postby goldwingmad » Sat Jul 07, 2012 4:50 am

Hello there I am David Bailey from Christchurch, New Zealand. I am the proud owner of a 1998 GL1500SE. I have owned for just a couple of years now. But love it alot I have joined the GWRRA and I am a member of the New Zealand Chapter A. I love touring around New Zealand and going overseas. I have been to the states twice and Australia about 5 times :D I would love to swap Goldwing pins or patches with other Goldwinger's from around the world. Any time a Goldwinger is coming over to NZ please contact me.

Welcome to the forum David. Thanks for the open invite.....only time I've been there was a short airplane stop-over in Auckland, on my way to Aussie. I am more likely to head the other direction(Europe) , but if the opportunity comes along..... :D .
I am not member of any Goldwing club, so sorry to say, do not have any contribution to your collection.
There are other members on this forum from NZ.

Welcome to the board/bored. Only 96 degrees F at 1:00 PM, no body is riding today, hope you are.

Thank you for your welcome :D It is nice to see the Brotherhood, sisterhood of Goldwingers is strong around the world. I saw the photos of the Goldwings on their sides at "WingDing" so sad I just hope not much damage was done to those bikes.

Hello David, and welcome to the website from the U P of Michigan. I did belong to GWRRA for a few years before my accident in 2002 and do have some leftover medallions from that time if you would like. Currently I belong to the Patriot Guard Riders and have only been there a few years so have little spare to be able to to send you. If you would like them send me a pm and I will see what postage costs to you.

Welcome to a denizen of the Shakey City, in the Shakey Isles. (Is my eyesight blurry, or is that another earthquake?) Enjoy your GW in a beautiful part of the world, as there are lots of interesting roads, and more importantly lots of interesting people. Have fun.

Hello fellow Kiwi riders, I'm from Taihape, NZ and ride a 88 1500GL. I ride with the Patriots NZ Defence Force MC and have clocked up just over 15000 ks in the last 12 months.

I will respond, even though I am not a K1W1. It would have been better to start a new subject, to introduce yourself, otherwise we all think that you are responding as the original - until us dumb ones check on your name.

It sounds like you do not let the grass grow under those wheels, and I trust you are enjoying your life. Whereabout is Taihope?
