Recently acquired GL1100

Postby Wingsconsin » Fri Jul 27, 2012 10:03 am

My 18 years old son just recently acquired a new-to-him GL1100 Interstate.
Thanks to this board I am learning a lot about it and what to do to keep it running in peak form.
I have had a GL1200 and now a GL1500 but never the GL1100 so I am lerning things are different in the early wings...

Very nice looking rides ya got there.
Don't dally about on the preventive maintenance on the 1100.Tend to the 3 yellow wires and timing belts as soon as possible.

Nice rides! Do you have trunk for the 1100?
Have a question about your 1500......It seems there is an extra antenna? Or is it a flagpole? Common accessory?
What is the white trim like stuff along the trunk/saddlebag lids?

Yes we have the trunk but he prefers the bagger look...

Flagpole ---

Saddlebag & trunk trim is Chrome door edge guard... ;)
