95 for a high today, and the ground is still wet from the normal rains we have in the Northwest....so A/C will be on at about 10 a.m. to keep the house cool.

For me, since bike is not moving much....I will be getting my kicks on a riding mower, and then looking maybe for a second bike. Not a bad excuse for a Saturday!

Yep, a lot of rain and really hot... The grass is out of control. Not fun cutting grass twice weekly..

112 and 113 and 110 the last three days. Cooling down to 103 today. 30 + days now of over 100. Ain't it fun. No riding possible for me.

Sat morning I was standing in front of a rental place , when a big Harley pulled up. I greeted the guy with
(nice bike ) he then said thanks and went on too say it was too hot too ride.I stode next to his ride and noticed that he rapped his whole exhaust system with asbestos, I could still feel the heat rolling off his system.

He then put his hand on the pipe too show me he could do this with out a burn to him self.I looked at him one more time and saw the sweat rolling off of him. As I left I said too my self, my Goldwing doesn't have those pipes
on the side that I have to rap with ugly looking asbestos.Just made me feel I made a good choice in bikes. :)

As a Harley rider for most of my riding years I can tell you that the wrap is there mostly for looks and for those crazy enough to put those shorter hot pipes on their bikes. I agree not the best look I've ever seen either. but to each their own I guess.
