Honda Cleaner!???

Postby tom84std » Sun Aug 26, 2012 2:20 pm

About fourteen years ago I met a single woman living about four miles from me. Romance and hormones ensued and we married. She lived in a nice suburban house with a two car-garage filled with years of accumulated stuff, (including a '92 Honda Nighthawk.) Before we'd marred, we both agreed we'd live at my place since I have more land, and my workshop. Soon I found myself in her garage packing and discovering all the stuff. Tools, battery chargers, weedeaters, cabinets full of stuff... I found an aerosol can I recognized to have the Honda factory label, "Honda Cleaner". I thought it was quaint and cute but I packed it. Not long after, I tried the stuff with a soft cotton cloth. I was amazed! It removed road tar and film and left a shiny waxy surface resistant to sticking dirt. I loved it. Soon, the can ran out and I found myself going to the dealer buying more of the stuff. It reminded me very much of aerosol furniture polish. That was 14 years ago. Do they still sell it?

Yup Steve! That's the stuff. I started to order some but the shipping is about as much as the cost. I have at least two dealerships near me so I'll go visit them tomorrow (Today is Monday, closed on Monday) and see if they still carry the stuff. Thanks for finding it for me!

When I bought my wing, the guy gave me 3 cans of this stuff and I figured I wouldn't use it because I had a better brand that I've used. One day I thought what the heck give it a try, if it didn't work I would get rid of it but man was I surprised....the stuff really works great! Now it's all that I use.

Me too, I just picked up another can today from Cyclemax (they sell it, both the small can and the big can).
