Ahhhh...

Postby maestro319 » Thu Aug 30, 2012 5:57 pm

I just got off my bike and put her away in the garage after a very nice ride. I stood there just looking at her and I thought to my self, "Ahhhh, what a nice ride. I LOVE my bike"!!! Any of you guys ever have that feeling toward your ride after an enjoyable ride?? What joy and satisfaction.

Everyday since I got my first wing. I'm still smiling when I ride.

Before the wing when I smiled it hurt, lol

I soooo wish I would have known 20 or 25 years ago that I would have loved a wing this much!

I get that every morning when I park her in the garage after the ride home from work, which is 40 miles away. It's always a nice ride. :D

Every day, for every motorcycle I ever owned. And all winter I pine for them. I even covet some neighbors bikes.

Isn't that amazing? I dig bikes, I always want to look at them, long after them, wish I could have several of them, lol. Damn, I am in trouble. Scary, wife gave me permission to possibly have 2 next year ;)

Yep, when I got mine it sounded like a sick harley, barely idled, ran like crap. Oh man what a mess it was, here is a photo of my older half sister and her grand daughter and my daughter and myself with my bike just after I got it.. I turned the bike around Maestro...I made it run perfectly and it stops and everything, all proper and such...And I painted it a few times, Black, then red, then grey, and white...I'm most happy with the white..So yes I love my bike and I sit and stare at her all the time..It's amazing how someone can feel about there bike, especially when they practically rebuild the silly thing..

Well, this is another place that Harley does have it right. Being a biker/motorcycle enthusiast is not a hobby... It is a way of life. There is where the line is drawn. If it is just a bike, you ain't no biker....... If you don't understand, I cannot explain, but if you do understand, no explanation is necessary. I love my Goldwing, but I still love my Harleys.

P.S.: the other place Harley has it right is seats. They CAN build a seat.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

I totally understand what you're talking about. It really tore my heart out to sell my 1100 after I had put so much time, effort, money and love into it - and shared SO many experiences on it - but I do know that it's being taken very good care of, ridden all the time, and loved by its new owner, so that's the best thing I could have ever wanted.

I HAVE BEEN RIDING FOR OVER 50 YEARS AND STILL HAVE A SMILE ON MY FACE WHEN I GET OFF THE BIKE. EVEN IN THE 100 DEGREE WEATHER THIS SUMMER WAS STILL GREAT RIDING ,AFTER RIDING IN A RAIN WAS STILL A GREAT RIDE,PEOPLE THAT DO NOT RIDE NEVER WILL GET IT. I RIDE DOWN THE ROAD LISTENING TO THE RADIO AND SWAYING TO THE MUSIC,TRY THAT IN A CAR. MY WIFE AND I GO SHOPPING ON THE BIKE,LAST YEAR I TOOK THE BIKE AND TRAILER TO PICK UP THE MULCH AND OTHER THINGS FOR THE YARD, I AM 66 AND HOPE TO RIDE TILL THE DAY I DIE.

"I RIDE DOWN THE ROAD LISTENING TO THE RADIO AND SWAYING TO THE MUSIC,TRY THAT IN A CAR. "

I think that is drunk driving if doing in a car. I so totally agree with ou though, absolutely!
