I have to agree completely. I'm new to this site and to being a Wing owner. So far, the interactions I've had with a couple others here have been amazing.

I tend to shun sites like this from past experiences. The disrespect and flaming go rampant on many sites regardless of what topic they cover. That obviously isn't the case here. Kudos to the admin and all others for that. I only go on two other boards (www.cherokeeforum.com) that covers my other loves aside from motorcycling, Jeep Cherokees, and as being a firearms dealer on the side (www.firearmstalk.com), where the people act similarly.

I am looking forward to many good interactions here and hope to meet as many of you as possible in the future.

I have to agree, most everybody is very helpful and tolerant. I confess I also read triketalk.com due to the fact that I do ride a trike and the people on that site have the same attitude. I really enjoy helping people whenever I can and you never know, I might even learn something new. But even tho I have never met any of the members I feel I know them at least a little bit thru all the emails we have sent in the last year. Admin has done a lot for this group and deserves a huge thank you. I f it wasnt for him and his watchful eye this site would not happen. Ride safe everyone.

The site is great, but I think it also says a lot about the mentality of most wing riders!! We are a great bunch of people, with level heads and a desire to help each other, this site is a great tool that enables that and WingAdmins steady hand keep us all on track..

It's all about having great people - we're very lucky in that we have some great, helpful and friendly people here who are more than happy to help out. Not only that, people who do learn things, are happy to help pass that knowledge on to others. I couldn't ask for better users! :)

Now thats not true Beaver, you have a good head on your shoulders, like our Admin, you have helped plenty of people over the years. And who can take a bike apart and build in into a boat and try sailing it to " Hawaii "
Still not sure if you ever made it ? Or are you still trying.

But how nice to read all the kind posts about this site, and that alone should make our Wing Admin feel great.

Nothing makes me happier than to hear that something I've created (i.e. this site) has helped people out in one way or another.

I have to agree what others have said here. I have rode motorcycles off and on most of my life and have completed a frame off restoration on a 1974 Harley ElectroGlide (Shovelhead). But I knew when I bought my GL1200 wing I was out of my element and from my first post (questions) until now I've gotten tons and tons of help and ideas. Kudo to wingadmin and the members here!!!

I have to agree. When I first got my Goldwing I registered at 3 different forum sites. This has always been my favorite.

Now I know running this site costs money and time. Probably more time than money. I'd be willing to kick a $$ into the pot if requested or if a donation button was available.
"It´s a friggen motorcycle, it´s not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you s**t your pants every now and then. "

Definitely more time than money. If I billed myself for the time I put into this site each month at my billing rate, I'd be a rich man! Wait...that might not work. :)

No donations or anything required. Financially the site is self-sustaining through the little Google ads you see, so that makes it truly a labor of love. :)

WingAdmin, I gotta hand it to you. You have done well with this and I always admire someone that sticks to his/her principles. Well done.

You're no more than 2 hours from me. Hopefully, in the not too distant future, we can do an FTF and maybe tilt back a couple. That would be real nice.

I've got plans to get a "event/ride" type system here in place before next riding season, so that would work out well!

Remember this survey? I thought I could just add a new forum where people could write about rides...but then I thought, why not a dedicated page that stores information about all kinds of motorcycle events, everywhere? People could add their own events, people could sort of RSVP to them, that sort of thing. That way you could do a search for events close to you, and it would automatically show them.

That's my idea, anyway.
