New Winger from far away

Postby RhinoWing » Wed Oct 10, 2012 9:22 am

Just to hello to everyone. I have recently acquired my first Winger and did not know I would enjoy it so much. I have not been riding for 20 odd years, so getting onto two wheels again was a pleasure. I just want to say how much I enjoy the site and is the only site I have been following since getting my Wing. In the few months of following thie posts on this site, I think of you guys as family already.

Keep up the good work.
Kevin

Welcome to the forum Kevin......

Good bunch of people on here. If you have any questions ask away....someone will give you a good answer.

I just finished working in Soyo Angola Africa. Did not get a chance to go to South Africa though. Some of my work buddies did though.

Hey Bamaeagle, thanks for the welcome. I can already feel that I'm going to enjoy this family very much.

Bought the Wing in Feb this and have not had any major problems so far, other than the starter acting up once, but thanks to this great How To's was able to fix the problem. found that one of the copper strips that connect the thingy's inside the casing had burnt off. had it resoldered and the problem is solved.

I'm wondering if anyone can attach a pic of seafoam, so that i can see if it can be sourced in SA. Seems a very good product that could also be used in my car.

Cheers for now.

Sure thing. It can be used in pretty well any piston engine:

Welcome RhinoWing. What took you so long? Without pics you don't exist. Would love to see some from SA.

Welcome to the site Kevin, when I lived in the UK they used to sell a product called REDEX that wa svery similar to sea foam, it could be poured down the carb throat to clean the inlet tracts and combustion chamber, it could be added to your gas tank to clean carbs and I believe it could be added to the engine oil.. You might have more luck finding that in SA..

Welcome RhinoWing! If you google the MSDS (ingredients) sheet on Seafoam it is just Coleman stove fuel (Kerosene) and a little oil and Alcohol (to get ride of moisture), I just use Colman fuel in my car and bike, works great and is a LOT cheaper!! I don't know what you can get in SA.
