Noob here

Post by Barry2159 » Sat Nov 24, 2012 12:25 pm

I just acquired an 85GL Interstate and had a few questions.. As I'm not new to this game (5 years on the FJR Forum, though currently on a five day forced vacation  )
I know enough to search for what I'm looking for before pestering anyone...
Nice setup you have here. Hope to soon share what I've done and pictures of the final outcome.. :)

Welcome, and I trust your vacation is quiet :D . We are a happy group here, and all are non-confrontational whatever is your ride. I trust you enjoy your 85, and look forward to seeing some information about your rides in your area, but I guess I will have to wait until you have finished with your snow, ice, and cold

Welcome from the U.P. and I once owned an 85, it was my first GW and if it had not been for the electronics on the newer bikes I probably would still have it. If you ever make it to the U.P. I will buy you a cup of coffee. If you have any questions I will try to answer them as best as I can, and I know there are several great guys on this site that are also great with tech problems on any of these beautiful bikes.

Thanks for the welcome all.. I've been over the road the last few days and haven't had a chance to play with a computer.
