My 2nd Barn find this year !!!

Postby Possum51 » Thu Nov 29, 2012 7:24 am

I was looking at a place to rent up in the north Ga mountains closer to my daughter and grandkids, and I saw this out back sitting in front of the barn. Its a (in very rough shape) 1965 AMF Harley-Davidson 250cc "C" model. I asked the guy about it and he said its been sitting for a long time, his older son bought it as a project bike but never got around to doing anything with it. I asked if he thought he'd sell it and he said you bet, that I could get it for 3 or 4 hundred. I said, ummmm ok !!! Its going to need a lot of TLC to bring it back to OEM shape, but its just the thing I was looking for. I thought at first it was a 125cc until I did a little research and figured out its actually the 250cc "C" model.

yep, I believe its a 1965 and if so not the AMF model, either way I like it,picking up the paperwork soon to verify the numbers and year, just glad they've held on to all the paperwork !!! Its going to be a long term fun project, just what I was looking for.
