Wow, who went and did this?

Postby littlebeaver » Sat Dec 29, 2012 8:06 pm

:shock: Hello Folks, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and for all those that don't really celebrate this holiday Merry whatever it is you celebrate..We went home to Kansas for the Holiday, when we got back we went down to our postal service place and picked up our mail ..Hummmm...Somebody, somewhere out there in Goldwing land that has my address ordered a belt buckle, now this belt buckle was sent to my home address in San Antonio, hummm, this unknown person asked the seller to send this Goldwing Belt Buckle to me..OMGosh...It's one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me,,Whoever did this, I thank you from the bottom of my Goldwing loving heart...I love it and I shall wear it for the rest of my days with my riding attire, and when it's time for me to go I shall instruct my daughters to send it to another Goldwinger that is worthy of such an item..All I can say is that I'm in heaven and I ain't even gone yet..And it's perfectly ok to say who sent it, so if one of you guy's on this site sent it please say who went and done this :lol: :D ...It's awesome and I really would like to know..I opened it up while sitting in the car and the wife was right there and we both about died when we saw the note that was from the seller..Here is a photo of the buckle... :D

[color=#408000]Hey LittleBeaver-with-worried-look-on-face :D

If it had a Customs sticker on it, it could have come from one of us :D 'foreignors'. If you need one for a 1500, just let us know and perhaps the Easter Bunny might bring you one as well.

I think I know who sent it, but my fingers are sealed :twisted:

While you work out who sent it how about someone telling who made it, if it doesn't give the game away.

Sid, I flipped the buckle over and it says Solid Brass on it and that's it...There a tiny number 8 on it too...Oh and it is diffenetly a 1100 model and there is no way of knowing who made this item, this buckle is rare I bet and worth millions today :shock: ...I suppose it could be someone off another site, but I suspect that it's someone here on this site... I guess a little brasso will posish it up like new again.... :D Whoever did this [Todd] I do thank you... :lol:

Hey LittleBeaver-with-worried-look-on-face,

Made of brass, eh? Hmmm, all those years in the military taught me to keep my brass buckles bright and shiny. If you want to do it properly, take it to a jeweller and get them to polish it and seal it. That way you will not have to get the Brasso onto it on a daily basis - nothing worse than a green brass, especially on a nice belt buckle.

Did it arrive a bit green from having travelled a long way? Some of those boat trips across big lakes can be a bit rough. You have ruled out a few, but havent you worked it out yet? I have, but my fingers are sealed :twisted:
