My current project

I haven't got to my winter maintenance on my GL1500 yet this year...but my wife's Pacific Coast is well underway. I have to say, it's much faster work when you don't have to stop and take pictures every few minutes. :)

Looks like I am further along on my wing than your Pac Coast, makes me feel better that I am not doing very bad with all my pieces.

Now, that's a tear down!

I'm behind on my 1000. The carbs aren't back yet. The guy rebuilding them was having "domestic" issues and fell a few weeks behind. He now knows both my empathy and my irritation at this taking so long. Soon.

Now that I have a handle on prepping the Vetter luggage for repaint (see my new product review), this should start moving faster. With the new timing belts installed and the fork seals done along with the teardown of the cooling system completed and fairing bracket in place, I'm real hopeful that the new riding season will have the Wing on the road sooner than later.

Oh, it's not torn down all the way yet...

The front cowl still has to come off, and so does the air box, carburetors, and engine heat shield, to gain access to the valve covers, which are leaking oil (well, the cam plugs are leaking). PC's are known for leaky cam plugs. It's a real nasty job to get to. Also, the trunk and trunk liner has to come off, so that I can replace the shocks. Then the handlebars come off to be replaced with a new set with much longer pullback, then longer clutch and brake lines, and longer throttle cables.

This one is a long project in process! And I still have a set of 416 Progressives waiting to go on my 1500, along with a set of Progressive fork springs, and a set of seals and bushings for my forks, among a few other things. I need to get busy!

Well the groundhog said spring is just around the corner!
I just got my 1500 buttoned up and ready to roll.
So my motto is, a little bit each day will get it done in no time!!! :D
