Postby littlebeaver » Thu Feb 07, 2013 2:20 pm

Our dear friend and fellow goldwinger Elder went down..WA9FWT [Phil] went down but on in a crash, our friend had a Heart Attack, from what I gather he had a surgery and had a couple of stints put in, now he is on his way to more riding, Phil is a great man, he has been here for some time and I wanted to let everyone know that he is in great spirits and on his computer, he is very weak but getting stronger everyday...He will be out on the lake in no time fishing and such..Yelling at the fish that get away..Please give him a warm get better soon and we are so happy to know he will be around for a spell, He got a second chance ya know.... Yes, take it easy and get better. I am sure we will keep the conversations going until you jump back in to the middle of this circle again.

At first when I read that he had a 40 minute ride between hospitals, I was thinking he was on the bike, how did they allow that????? DAMN!!!

Feel better, sir!

I made sure to get permission to post this from Phil himself, he didn't reallly want to have everyone make a fuss over him but who really does, I told him that I thought everyone could cheer him up... I told him that I thought he was special person...I kinda think everyone is special but he is an Elder and I admire those folks, I guess the older I get the more I think about stuff like that and less about smacking the guy staring at me dirty..  .....He is also getting one of my Signed American Eagles, I sent it before I learned of this isssue of his..  Ain't nobody got No Time for Heart Attacks No how..  Fishing yes Heart Attack Noooooo...Stop that nonesense... I wonder if he likes Taco's..

Phil, I hate to hear this, but here's hoping the doctors have fixed you up right and you can get back up on your two (actually, four!) wheels again soon.

I got a PM from Phil before he had this Heart Attack, He made a video and sent it to me, he was probably shy about posting it for everyone, later, I learned he tried to repost it, but it didn't work I captured it and I will post it for everyone to view as he was trying to but couldn't figure out how.. I remember when I couldn't even post a photo....I understand where he is..I held back the tears this time watching it just knowing our friend went through Hell with this health issue..But he's going to be good I pray...You will grin ear to ear watching this just as I did..It's funny..And you will understand why I feel so sad about this happening to such a nice man..

Phil,
What a great video. I sure hope you are feeling better soon...Believe me I know what it is to have heart problems. But, I am sure if they put in stints, you will be up and running again real soon. I've always enjoyed your posts and this video just tells me that much more about your personality. All you gotta do is get some real good brakes put on that boat trailer that you can hook to your wing brake system, then tow that baby out to the lake and do some fishin...That way you can take care of two pastimes you like at once...ridin and fishin...

Bye the way, it has been your praise of your trike kit that made me decide to do away with just having the landing gear system and getting one of them there detachable trike kits. I trust your evaluation of those kits.
Take care

I am a new member here sir. I don't know you at all and only heard of your heart attack while browsing the site. I want to tell you though from a outsider looking in, you have collected more than just stuff in your garage. It appears to me that along the way, you sir, have gained the respect and admiration of just about everybody you have come in contact with. That my future friend, takes a good man!! I hope someday to shake your hand and hopefully hang out cause I really like to surround myself with good people. You get better and I want to read more about you. Also, try to go to your grand kids school (if you have any) and tell stories about your upbringing. Our younger generation is in dire need of help. God Bless.

I can not top what anyone is saying here, only compliment.....amazing the friendships made in this virtual world. yes you are sharing yourself in a vid you created, but I look at it and you could just be a couple houses down, as close as real.

Keep your head up, jump on here and say "Hi", we are waiting ;)

Phil, Sorry to hear about your heart episode but glad to know you'll be able to read all the posts and know how much you are cared for! My prayers also go out to you for a speedy recovery. Loved your video (thanks Beave for posting it) Phil you did a great job on recording it, most of us move the camera too fast so you don't see what's really in the video. I see the messy gremlins visit your workshop too, you know I'll go out and spend a day just cleaning and straightening my work shop and the the next time I go out there i'll see that them gremlins messed it up again, guess we should change the locks to try an keep them out! Hey that tower you have behind the garage with the winch on it, is that a telescoping one, never saw one like that? Pretty cool if that's what it is. Well you take it easy and get better real soon! Wally

dit dah dah, dit dit dah dit, dah dah dah dah dit, dit dit dah dit, dit dah dah, dah - warm wishes from the south. If you are to have a heart attack, I guess you picked the right season when riding is not popular.

Loved the video, I figured that you dont really care about electricity costs, and use candles when the transmitter fires up :P as the lights would certainly go a bit dimmer.

I hope you are back to your normal service soon, and enjoy yourself in the meantime, as best as you can. And thank Beaver for posting, it is good to know that someone cares.
