1 year, 1st ride

Postby GreenDragon » Tue Feb 12, 2013 6:09 pm

After almost a year to the day, I took my first ride, up the street and around the block, wearing my brand new Killimanjaro day glow yellow jacket on my newly rebuilt seat. What a great feeling. As soon as I get a chance I will be riding regularly.(weather sucks as does cancer) The Chemo, surgeries and treatments have taken their toll, but I am healing well and getting stronger every day.

Good job Green...that is the way to start the year. I agree with others, this year started rough, needs to turn itself around. Congrats!

Some like to think animals are great therapy, I prefer my wing and a country road. Others say "laughter is the best medicine". So jump on Interstate 50 with your wing. Go to Versailles State Park and find some cute little fuzzys, then take a picture of you in a yellow dayglow jacket. You'll be better in no time

Glad to hear you are on the mend and will be riding soon. With wind in your face, bugs in your teeth, that smile on your face will be frozen in time,or, at least until you have to get off the wing for a rest.

Hey GreenDragon, good to hear that you are progressing in the right direction, while wearing your hi-vis jacket. I had not heard of that brand, and looked it up. It gets good reviews, both for cold and warmer weather, and even in the rain. Stay well, and warm thoughts are being sent your way from us in the Far South.
