new to goldwing docs

Post by chief771 » Sat Feb 16, 2013 1:06 pm

Happy Saturday! I recently purchased a 1978 gl 1000. In boxes. It only has 13000 miles tho! In the process of carb cleaning, rust removal in the tank and thinking about. I am lucky that all the chrome is in great shape and has polished up very well. I am sure I will have questions so I am very appreciative of all the great information here. Attached is a pic or two of my bike or what I have in the shed. Have an awesome day all!

welcome to the site. Should find everything you need here. At least I am banking on it tearing my 75 down for cleanup and rebuild it back. Since I have an IQ of 2 and keep them both in my sock drawer so I don't lose them I need all the help I can get. But these guys are always here to help me out. You will have a great bike when you get her back together.

Welcome to the site. This is the best one I have found for friendly people willing to share their knowledge and time for free. It is a refreshing change to the normal world. Remember one thing while you are making the Wing a Wing again. She will become a part of your soul. Have fun, and be patient.

Welcome from the U.P.of Michigan. I really hope you also have a large group of spare parts to go along with that naked wing. As several have stated already, patients will be your best bet.. Good luck.

Hi from the Deep South.

Isnt that a bit rude showing off that 'girl' without any dressing on? Next time, make sure it is well covered with all the prettys. You will have to hurry there is not too much winter left to go, and then you will be rushing to get it riding in the warm weather.

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.
