There's a ton of info here.
The main concern for any used wing in this era is to first and foremost take care of the critical areas.
Replace the timing belts....period...
Flush all the brake and clutch fluids.
Repair(solder) the 3 yellow wires for the charging system (next to the battery).
From there it's just preventive maintenance...oil,filters,grease,lube,etc,etc.

"It´s a friggen motorcycle, it´s not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you s**t your pants every now and then. "

Welcome! When I got my new to me '83 Aspy, this site was absolutely invaluable in rebuilding/refreshing/replacing all that needed doing.
Take your time, buy quality parts and ASK QUESTIONS! :)

Welcome. As we move into Autumn/Fall (we go to Autumn on the 1st of the month, and change seasons on the first of the month), not that March is that different from February, however, while it is still cool, you can perhaps spend some of your time downloading some "how to's" from this site, and get to do the basics, so that your GW will be ready for the warmer months.

Remember, no GW is too old to brag about, so where's the photos?

Welcome JR. What I Love about this forum is the ease to get to the DIY articles. For this function it is very user friendly. And Yah, if you get in trouble someone here will bail you out! :D
