I'd be interested to know how other juristictions cope with high alcohol fuels.

Like Brazil.
I'm sure they have motorcycles, weedeaters and outboard motors there, too.

I received my AAA newsletter the other day and there was an article about this. Virtually all of the auto makers, both here and overseas, have stated that they either will void new car warranties of anyone, or retain the right to, if E15 is used in their vehicles.

E10 is already doing much damage to both vehicles and power equipment. Look at your garden implements. The plastic fuel lines are becoming stiff and will get brittle, if you haven't seen this by now. I had to rebuild the carb of a 2 year old Husky chain saw due to E10. It is damaging fuel systems and valve trains.

All this has done is open new additive markets for companies like Lucas and Sta-Bil and Star Tron to make additives to help counteract the effects. The stuff isn't snake oil, but costs us more to try to keep our gas powered things from suffering.

Here in Oklahoma City there are more and more gas stations that are switching over to 100% gas. They won't even sell E10. They seem to always have more customers also.

Now that's music to my ears. :) Now to get more to follow that trend :)
I have had more work on newer machines (engine's ) and have had to tell customers that the problem was the fuel  They have no clue, until you show them the cracked fuel line's or diaphragm's. This is on cheap small
mowers, gas trimmers. Not like your expensive cycles, boat engines that cost arm and leg to repair. Keep the corn
in the feed market period!!

An effective way to get the message across is to seek out those stations where they have ethanol free fuel and buy from them only. As the sales spike up, these metrics report what reality (consumer preference) is. It's my way of showing the EPA, and government in general, my middle finger for the bull$41! they are feeding us. It may cost more, but only slightly, but worth it in the long run.
